Website Marketing: Better Listings On Google | Chadd Bryant

The word “blog” is actually a contraction made from the words “web” and “log” but as Google has come to like blogs more and more, the word “blog” has become an acronym for “Better Listings On Google.” These days, no site should be without a blog. Since Google likes to see frequently changing content, they’ll naturally rank sites with blogs better than those without. But… you have to commit to keeping it updated. A blog that gets changed every few months doesn’t help your ranking on Google at all.

While you might be thinking that keeping your blog updated may be a daunting task, it doesn’t have to be.  Blog posts don’t need to be long.  They can be just a couple sentences.  As long as you’re consistently making new posts, then Google will notice your site and will eventually raise your site in its listings.

And to make the task even easier, you can schedule your blog posts to be published at specific times in the future.  So if you’re able to sit down even once a week and dedicate a little time to writing, you can schedule your blog postings to be published when ever you want.  It can’t get much easier than that.  If you can’t find a few minutes a week to dedicate to your website’s marketing, then maybe you need an assistant.

To your success,
Chadd Bryant
